The role | Midwife
As a Registered Midwife, you'll play a vital role in providing antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.

Working collaboratively with women and their Lead Maternity Carers (LMCs), you'll ensure continuity of care that aligns with organisations Vision and Values.

You'll maintain a high standard of patient care in line with legislative and professional requirements, continuously develop professionally, and collaborate with LMCs and staff midwives on quality initiatives.

Utilising effective communication skills, you'll act as a resource person when specialised knowledge or skill is required, and ensure patient safety and integrity by managing risks and potential complications. Following LMC care plans, you'll inform mothers and families about their care and maximise health potential.

What we are looking for | Is this you?

Clinical requirements  

• Registration with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand 
• Holds a current annual practising certificate 
• Strong capacity to communicate in english (written and verbal)

Personality 

• Honesty and integrity in abundance 
• Proven background of supporting strong relationships 
• Maintain a high level of professionalism
• Ability to manage the shift patterns common in this occupation 
• Enjoy working both autonomously as well as, as part of a team 
• Aware of the cultural differences which make New Zealand so special
