Are you a Registered Nurse looking to gain specialised experience in dermatology? This Christchurch based clinic is seeking a flexible, part-time Practice Nurse to join their friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into the world of dermatology while maintaining a great work-life balance.
 
About the Role
In this role, you will support dermatological procedures, minor surgeries and ongoing patient care. You’ll manage your own clinic appointments, including dressing changes, suture removals and histology follow-ups. As part of your role, you’ll also operate the UVB machine for psoriasis patients and educate patients to administer injections. With the clinic booking out a year in advance, this is a fast paced, rewarding environment where patient care is the top priority.
 
This clinic offers flexible hours, making this role ideal for someone balancing other commitments or looking to keep their nursing skills sharp.
 
Key Details
  • Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am start with a finish time between midday and 4 pm. Some occasional Friday morning work may be required. Flexibility is essential, with approximately 20-25 hours per week. You will be given advance notice of shifts, including during clinic shutdowns (one month over Christmas and other potential breaks due to conferences)
  • Location: Central Christchurch.
  • Training: Full training will be provided, with ongoing support until you are fully confident in the role.
  • Team: You’ll be working alongside a Practice Manager and two full-time receptionists, with a clinic room and desk space provided upstairs.
About You
  • Registered Nurse with a current APC.
  • No specific experience necessary, but some exposure to surgical settings would be ideal.
  • Comfortable being on your feet throughout the day and moving between theatre and clinic space. 
  • Professional, friendly approach and a willingness to learn.
  • Organised and detail oriented, particularly in managing patient follow-ups and results.
