About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Nurse Team Leader to oversee a team of 8-10 nurses. This permanent position offers 72 hours per fortnight, with flexible shifts between Monday and Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM. Reporting to the Nurse Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in driving high quality care through strategic leadership, clinical excellence, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Guide and inspire the urgent care nursing team to uphold excellence in care and practice.
• Quality Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve clinical standards, policies, and patient outcomes.
• Education & Training: Partner with the Nurse Leader to deliver ongoing training, supporting staff professional development.
• Health & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and foster a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to implement care improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• NZ Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate.
• 5+ years' post-registration experience, with previous leadership experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in urgent care or emergency departments.
• Demonstrated commitment to health equity and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with ACC, PHC funding models, and MedTech Evolution is a plus.
