• Located in the heart of Hawke’s Bay, this is a small yet dedicated orthopaedic day surgery unit renowned for its specialist expertise, innovation and exceptional patient care.
• The focus is on high quality orthopaedic procedures; ranging from shoulder reconstructions and ACL repairs to ankle ligament surgeries and arthroscopies. While they handle complex cases, they also support a wide variety of sports injuries and minor procedures.
• The unit has two theatres and is positioned for growth with more orthopaedic surgeons joining in 2025.

• This is a permanent position. Ideally 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week), but we are open to considering full-time arrangements.
• Family-friendly work hours, with options to start early and set up for the day or stay late to prepare for the next - whatever works best for you. No weekends or on-call shifts, just Monday to Friday.

• An experienced Anaesthetic Technician or Operating Department Practitioner ODP with current registration (or be eligible for registration) with the New Zealand Medical Sciences Council.
• Demonstrate expertise in anaesthetic support, ideally with orthopaedic experience.
• Adaptable, proactive, and eager to contribute to a close knit team.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills and align with values of patient centric care and professionalism.

• Up to $54.76 per hour
• A relocation package including accommodation support is on offer if you are relocating to Hawke’s Bay.
