We are seeking an experienced Nurse to join this organisation who have an amazing vision and values based drive heading into 2025.
This unique and rare opportunity will enable you to take a strategic approach to creating and delivering on initiatives that are driven towards providing the the most equitable and safe clinical care for the Auckland Community.
The organisation is the largest (independent) Primary Care Organisation in New Zealand, where they focus towards providing cost effective, quality and accessible healthcare services in the community.
The Role In this position you will see yourself responsible for 7 or 8 clinics, located between South, East, Central and West Auckland. Although your permanent base for work will be within Head Office which is ideally located in Ellerslie.
Your travel requirements will be amongst the Practices under your leadership and although there is no company vehicle provided, there is a very competitive travel allowance for you to utilise.
Given the nature of this role we are looking for someone who worked within a Leadership or Management position (within Primary or a Community Care setting) for a minimum of 5 years. They will need to have experience and knowledge of leading large teams of health professionals as well as a strong foundation of PHO funding.

- Lead the strategic development of nursing services, aligning with primary healthcare trends
- Provide clinical leadership and advice to senior management and nursing teams
- Support and mentor nursing staff, fostering their development and performance
- Oversee quality improvement initiatives and clinical audit processes
- Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for nursing staff
- Maintain oversight of funding streams and expenditures to ensure service efficiency
- Someone who is committed to the principles of health equity and cultural competency and who is able to demonstrate an understanding of Māori tikanga and kawa and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
What we are looking for | Is this you? - A current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- Proven leadership experience in a clinical environment
- A minimum of five years' nursing experience in New Zealand
- Strong organisational and management skills
- Knowledge of quality improvement processes and clinical teaching
- Commitment to biculturalism and health equity
- Awareness of ACC, PHO, and nursing professional development issues
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Familiarity with MedTech or similar systems is an advantage
- NZ citizenship or permanent residency

- $110,000 to $130,000 per annum
