Are you passionate about making a difference in the community? The ACC Navigation Service was established to offer independent support, guiding individuals through complex policies and processes to ensure they receive the assistance and entitlements they need.
 
The Role
 
We are seeking two Navigators (2 FTE) to join an organisation dedicated to empowering individuals and whānau by providing compassionate, community-focused support. In this position, you will:
  • Support individuals and whānau in understanding and navigating their ACC claims by providing clear explanations, practical guidance, and ongoing advocacy to ensure they feel confident and informed throughout the process.
  • Ensure clients receive their correct entitlements and the full extent of what they are entitled to.
  • Follow up on claims that are not progressing to help resolve any delays.
  • Successful candidates will also participate in ACC's pre-implementation training programme, equipping them with the tools and knowledge required to excel in this role.
What You Bring
 
We’re seeking someone with:
  • A genuine passion for supporting community wellness and advocating for clients.
  • Strong understanding of Te Ao Māori and tikanga Māori, with cultural competence to engage with diverse communities.
  • Good medical knowledge and an understanding of the ACC process.
  • Excellent communication, active listening and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and time management skills to handle multiple cases effectively.
