Opportunity to utilise your NZ primary care /community nursing experience in a family focussed General Practice. Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm.

About the Organisation

This is a welcoming, family focused general practice in the heart of Christchurch's eastern suburbs. It offers a range of services, including GP consultations, ACC assessments, diabetes support, cervical smears, smoking cessation, sexual health, and wound care. Their wellbeing team provides free, same-day support for enrolled patients, addressing mental, emotional, and physical health needs. 


The Role
  • 0.8 fte (32 hours per week) or 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) - choose what suits you best.
  • Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. No nights or weekends.
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and provide evidence based interventions with full team support.
  • Deliver culturally safe care tailored to patients and their families, with training provided if needed.
  • Maintain precise documentation and actively promote patient education in a supportive environment.
  • Engage in team discussions, professional development and quality improvement initiatives with the guidance of experienced colleagues.
What You Bring
  • Current registration as a New Zealand Registered Nurse.
  • 2+ years of experience in the New Zealand healthcare system.
  • Strong organisational abilities, familiarity with MedTech 32 or MedTech Evolution (or similar) preferred.
  • A commitment to health equity, with support and training available to deepen your understanding of Tikanga Māori, Kawa Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
