Our goal is identify an Operation Theatre Nurse, who is excited by the prospect of stepping up into either their first Nurse Leadership position, or someone who would love to bring their existing knowledge and experience to a new environment.

The Theatre Team support a diverse and engaging list of specialities which include. Orthopaedic/Spinal, Head & Neck, ENT/ORL, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Colorectal/Gastro, Gynae, Urology, Neurology, Oncology, & reconstructive Plastics (incl free flaps). They also clinical services such as ICU & HDU.
The Role
This opportunity is perfect for someone is driven by striking the perfect balance of people leadership as well as operational management. You will be valued as the clinical expert for the team and will act as the day to go, go to person who will help empower, enhance and deliver on the best outcomes for the team and patients.
This role will also enable you to play an integral part in the growth of new staff via recruitment. as well as driving the procurement of new equipment, enabling you to have a voice of advocacy and knowledge across both people and your environment.
These are the essentials to be considered for the opportunity - Strong experience as a theatre RN scrubbing for a variety of surgical cases - e.g. General, Ortho, ENT, Plastics, Gynae, Neuro, within a NZ hospital (or equivalent)
- Some experience supervising services and/or people
- Strong coordination and delegation skills - you think on your feet and make effective decisions
- A positive attitude and professional maturity
- Experience building positive relationships with all members of the Operating Rooms including Surgeons and Anaesthetists
