About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to lead a well-established 45-bed aged care facility in the heart of Oamaru. Overlooking the stunning Oamaru Harbour and historic precinct, this home has evolved over 125 years, retaining its warm, homely atmosphere while delivering exceptional care.

As Care Home Manager, you will:

• Lead an 18-bed secure dementia care unit and 27-bed rest home
• Oversee 30+ staff, including RNs, Team Leaders, HCAs, and support teams
• Drive occupancy growth and strengthen community relationships
• Support and mentor staff to maintain the facility’s 4-year Ministry of Health certification
• Collaborate with families, GPs, and external partners to ensure the best outcomes for residents

About You

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

• A Registered Nurse qualification or a strong clinical background working closely with nurses
• Proven leadership experience in aged care or healthcare management
• A relationship-focused approach, engaging with the local community to elevate the facility’s presence
• Experience overseeing clinical and operational performance in a care environment
