About the Job
  • This is a Clinical Nurse Leadership opportunity in the General Surgery specialty
  • You will oversee the operations and staff within the theatre department. 
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of various specialty lines and maintaining safe high standards of patient care during surgical procedures.
  • Responsible for managing resources, supporting staff performance, and contributing to the efficient and effective functioning of the department.
  • Further develop your interest in leadership, coordination and quality improvement.
  • Report directly to the Theatre Services Manager and work closely with the Theatre Coordinator 
  • Monday to Friday, no Public Holidays, Christmas & New Year Shutdown
Skills and Experience 
  • Registered Nurse with current practicing APC
  • Must have NZ theatre experience. Ideally with a depth of experience in general surgery (or at the minimum exposure to the specialty)
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead a team
  • Committed to continuous quality improvement and on-going education through professional development.
  • Passion for advancing your nursing career. This is an opportunity to further develop your leadership, clinical coordination and quality improvement interests and skillset.
